Open Trenching

Open trenching is a traditional method of installing new pipes and utilities. It can be the most cost effective option depending on the location and obstacles in the way for a job. 

SEQ Drilling has the knowledge and equipment to deliver open trenching services with high efficiency and minimal disruption to the surrounding environment. 

We use several difference machines depending on the site. For rural areas and areas with minimal existing services our ride-on chain trenchers are the perfect solution. Chain trenchers are much more productive then an excavator, deliver accurate trench depths and widths and cause the least amount of disruption to the surrounding environment as the least amount of ground possible is disturbed. 

Our chain trenchers can trench up to 1.2m deep and up to 350mm wide. 

For areas congested with services, we utilise an excavator and hydro excavation truck to safely work around existing services.
